Columbia County Commissioners are Dwight Robanske, Charles Reeves and Richard Jones. With all present Wednesday, the board:
ROAD STABILIZATION: Heard two bids for the 2013 road stabilization contract, from Lyman Dust Control (Hayden, Idaho) for $30,333.06 and Envirotech Services Inc. (Greeley, Colo.) for $25,205.92. Approved referring bids to the county public works director for evaluation.
ASPHALT: Heard two bids for the 2013 asphalt paving contract, from A&B Asphalt of Milton-Freewater for $31,007.76 and Herco Inc. of Lewiston, Idaho, for $41,481.00. Approved referring bids to county public works for evaluation.
DESIGNER: Approved request from public works to hire a candidate of the department’s choice for a county designer position at the engineering technician step 3 salary, $42,300 per year.
