Missionary to lead worship at Grace United Methodist

WALLA WALLA — Katherine Parker of the United Methodist General Board of Global Missions will lead worship at Grace United Methodist Church, 1520 Pleasant St., at 10:30 a.m. today.  

Parker is a missionary to Cambodia, developing food security and livelihood cooperative projects, including safe drinking water. She will also speak at Dayton United Methodist Church at 3 p.m. today.

First Presbyterian Church slates Lenten day retreat

WALLA WALLA — First Presbyterian Church of Walla Walla, 325 S. First Ave., will hold a Lenten retreat 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday.

The focus will be the last words of Jesus in a time of meditation, silent reflection and music. Coffee, snacks and lunch provided.

St. James Episcopal to host ‘The Reel Fling’ in concert

MILTON-FREEWATER — St. James Episcopal Church, 719 Pierce St., will host a concert by “The Reel Fling” at 7:30 p.m. March 22.

The Celtic music string band does tunes from Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Trudy Ostby will play violin, Malinda Pankl, violin and Kevin Stauffer guitar.

Stauffer’s popular, “Paddy O’Furniture” will also be performed.

Donations will be accepted for the Milton-Freewater Breadbasket.

Unity Church of Peace plans special service on St. Patrick's Day

WALLA WALLA — St. Patrick will be the subject of the 10 a.m. March 17 service by Dorothy Knudson at Unity Church of Peace, 801 C. St.

At 10 a.m. March 24 Rev. Joy Kachel will conduct the Spring Equinox Service and on March 31 at 10 a.m. she will speak about the promise of resurrection.
