Albert Emmanuel Anderson Jr., 83, of Ellensburg, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away at his home in Ellensburg. Albert Emmanuel Anderson Jr. was born Jan. 13, 1930, in Clark, S.D. After graduating from Clark High School in 1948, he enrolled in Central Bible College in Springfield, Mo. Graduating in 1952 with a degree in pastoral ministries. During summers, Albert worked on the Olaus Filan farm in Walla Walla, where he met Aimee Filan. They were married in 1954 in Walla Walla. Albert and Aimee pastored several churches around the state including the Walla Walla Assembly of God church.
He will be fondly remembered by his children as the best of men, a true gift from God.
He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 58 years, 11 months, Aimee Filan Anderson; his six children, Debbie (Larry) Chase, Becky (Dave) Franklin, Mary (Joe) Maj, Eunice (Mike) Edwards, Mark Anderson and Jonathan Anderson. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Given (Arlene) Anderson, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Cynthia and Violet.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday March 16, at the Wenatchee First Assembly of God church. Burial will be Sunday, 12:30 p.m., at Selbu Lutheran Church in Hay, Wash. Memorials can be sent to Emmanuel Ministries, 904 E. Seattle Ave., Ellensburg, WA 98926.
