Port of Walla Walla commissioners are Paul Schneidmiller, Mike Fredrickson and Ron Dunning. With all present Thursday, the commission:
PERSONNEL POLICY: Adopted the revised Port personnel policy.
BEECHINOR FARMS: Received the 2013 crop rotation plan from Beechinor Farms for the Port-owned property north of the airport.
PARKING LOT EXPANSION: Granted unanimous approval of a contract with A&B Asphalt of Milton-Freewater for expansion of the airport parking lot by 47 spaces with a bid of $143,438.45 for asphalt surfacing, curb and gutter, storm drain, irrigation, lighting and landscaping.
BURBANK INDUSTRIAL PARK: Authorized patching and filling work for road maintenance at the Burbank Industrial Park.
RIGHT OF WAY: Authorized a deed of right of way to Walla Walla County for the Railex Road extension.
BURBANK SEWER: Reviewed a cost sharing agreement with Tippett Land Co., located across the Snake River, for the Burbank sewer line project.
TOURISM REQUEST: Authorized $1,500 in tourism funding for the Walla Walla Sweet Onion Festival.
CORRESPONDENCE & REPORTS: Reviewed leases entered into by administrative staff and miscellaneous project updates.
EXECUTIVE SESSION: Conducted an executive session to consider acquisition of real estate. Afterward, no action was taken.
