Walla Walla’s Harvest Foods is hopping with Easter plans.
The Southgate store’s sixth annual coloring contest has launched; the third annual Candy & Egg Hunt has been scheduled; and the Dry Creek 4-H Club’s showcase of rabbits is planned, according to an announcement from store owner Nolan Lockwood.
Easter coloring contest entry forms are available at the store’s guest service booth. Categories are pre-school, kindergarten, first, second, third, fourth and fifth grades. Special recognition in each category will receive a $5 gift card.
The annual candy and egg hunt will take place March 30. Three age groups will each have a different start time. At 10 a.m., the 1-3-year-olds can begin and will be followed at 10:15 by the 4-6-year-olds. At 10:30 a.m., the 7- and 8-year-olds can begin.
That afternoon, noon-3 p.m., the Dry Creek 4-H Club will showcase its rabbit-raising project. One of the rabbits was Grand Champion at last year’s Walla Walla Fair & Frontier days. The bunnies can be held and cuddled. Guests are encouraged to bring their cameras.
