WALLA WALLA — “Nanoscience and the Future of the Global Carbon Cycle” will be presented by A. Paul Alivisatos on March 28 at 7:30 p.m. in Olin Hall 130, Whitman College, 345 Boyer Ave.
The emerging field of nanoscience has the potential to impact the future of human energy use.
Alivisatos will introduce the fundamental concepts that underlie this new field and illustrate the impact of future energy technologies.
Alivisatos is the director of the Lawrence Berkely National laboratory and Larry and Dian Bock Professor of Nanotechnology for the Department of Chemistry, University of California, Berkeley.
Refreshments will follow at an informal reception.
