PENDLETON — Monothon 13, a two-and-a-half-day marathon of monotype printmaking, will be Friday-Sunday at Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts, 18004 St. Andrews Road.
It is expected to draw 90 Northwest artists. A monotype is a one-of-a-kind print made by painting on smooth metal, glass or stone plate, then printed on paper.
Artists include James Lavadour, Susan Murrell, Jenene Nagy, Don Gray, Whitney Minthorn and others.
A public viewing and sale of the prints donated by the artists will be displayed in the gallery starting noon Sunday.
Prints will range from $100-200, with proceeds going to the expansion of Crow’s Shadow onto the nation art scene with exhibitions in New York and Washington, D.C., at the National Museum of the American Indian.
