MILTON-FREEWATER — Gordon Sams recorded his first hole-in-one in 35 years of golf here Thursday at the Milton-Freewater Municipal Golf Course.
Sams, who is from Walla Walla, knocked a 9-iron into the cup on the par-3 No. 8 hole, which was playing at 140 yards. The shot was witnessed by Jess Bickford, also from Walla Walla.
