ELLENSBURG, Wash. — Walla Walla High School and Walla Walla Community College graduate Jill McDaniels had a record-tying day for Central Washington University’s softball team Sunday.

McDaniels, a junior, hammered two home runs, including a grand slam, to drive in seven runs against visiting Western Oregon University, tying the CWU record. She has a .366 batting average with 19 RBIs and six homers.

McDaniels was the third player in school history to have seven RBI in a single game.

CWU won that game 10-4 and won the nightcap against WOU 15-14.

McDaniels went 3-for-4 at the plate in the opener and 2-for-3 in the nightcap.
