Are the rich people who donate to Obama evil?

As a longtime customer of Tracfone I was shocked to discover the connection of its management with the Obama political machine.

Prior to the Lifeline program, which provides cheap or no-cost phones to low-income people, the company had 1.6 million customers.

With the advent of the phone giveaway, its base rose to 22 million.

It had representatives going from door to door to sign up for the $9.25 monthly subsidy. It is now petitioning the government for a program to supply free Internet service to low-income families.

President of the company is F.J. Polak. He and his wife, Abigail, have contributed over $250 million to Democrat candidates since 2011 and Abigail herself bundled nearly $2 million to wangle several White House invites from Barack Obama himself.

In addition, the chief benefactor of Tracfone just happens to be Carlos Slim of Mexico, purportedly the world’s richest man.

Let me get this straight. We have been told time and time again by our glorious leader that rich people are greedy and evil. Here we have two rich and greedy people being invited to the White House even when schoolchildren are being shunned.

Here is the key. Rich people are evil except for those who are wearing a “Hope and Change” button and arrive with multi-million dollar checks for your campaign. That simple move changes them into loyal and trusted supporters.

Now I get the picture.

This letter is full of misconceptions and misinformation. The lifeline program was established in 1985 to assist in providing communications for low income citizens. Stating that prior to the Lifeline program, Tracfone had 1.6 million customers, is almost funny, since Tracfone was established in l996, eleven years after the Lifeline programs inception. The program was expanded to cover wireless communications in 2005, and covers one phone devise per household. In the past two years the program has been modified with controls and restrictions that have reduced the cost. All of this information is readily available by searching the FCC website. It is imperative to check the facts on the viral emails that one receives, in order to make an informed comment to your local newspaper. And rather than calling this program Obama free phones, perhaps we should accurately term them Reagan Free phones, or Bush (2005 expansion) Free Phones.

Excellent letter - I also read that VP Biden spent one day in France and his one day hotel bill was $585,000.50 for a stay at a 5 star hotel. Now there are a number of ways to cut waste and this is more than likely one of those to be cut! Cut the funding to the White House and there would be ample money to place in more important projects.
