Paul E. Noodel, 86, passed away
March 21, 2013, at Providence St. Mary
Medical Center. There will be a memorial
service at a later date. Memorial
contributions may be made to Voice

Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362.
Paul was born February 23, 1927, to Howard and
Ruth Noodel, in Pontiac, Michigan. He attended
Adelphian Junior Academy and then received his
associate degree in x-ray technology in Holly, Michigan.
Paul enlisted in the United States Army in June of
1945, and on August 31, 1946, he married Vivian Dietz
in Tacoma, WA. They lived in Tacoma for twenty years,
then moved to Pendleton, OR, for thirty years and
spent winters in Desert Hot Springs, CA. They moved
to Walla Walla in 2003, from Pendleton. Paul was an
x-ray technician for 22 years for the Pierce County
Health Department, retiring at age fifty-four because he
had become legally blind.
He and Vivian had an active lifestyle. They enjoyed
camping in the motor home with the grandchildren.
Paul is survived by his wife, Vivian F. Noodel; one
daughter, Cynthia Moore and her husband Larry; one
son, Michael Noodel; six grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren
and many nieces and nephews. He was
preceded in death by one daughter, Dianne Stephens,
one granddaughter Tonya Noodel, two brothers and
