Man held as suspect in robbery

WALLA WALLA — Police arrested Marcial Tiscareno, 24, on investigation of robbery and other allegations during a traffic stop Monday.

According to documents presented in court this morning, Tiscareno went to an ex-girlfriend’s apartment on March 13 and demanded money. Eventually, Tiscareno allegedly took roughly $450 that Niccole O’Neel had in her purse, authorities reported.

According to court documents, O’Neel had saved the cash from tips she earned as a waitress. She attempted to wrest the money away from Tiscareno, who allegedly kicked her in the leg and left the apartment. O’Neel followed Tiscareno, telling him she was calling police.

Tiscareno threw the money in O’Neel’s face, then attempted to grab some of it back before fleeing, according to the court documents. He was arrested on investigation of first degree robbery, third degree theft and fourth degree assault.

Bail was set at $25,000 during his court appearance this morning.
