Garfield County Commissioners are Robert Johnson, Dean Burton and Wynne McCabe. With all present Monday, the board:
LEASE: Signed ten-year lease with Don Richardson for $650 per year to use land for sheriff’s department antennae.
ROAD: Signed right-of-way fence agreement with Kausche family, requiring the county to pay for any fence repairs needed as a result of road project.
BIDS: Heard three bids for the Eastern Washington Agricultural Museum electrical systems for a second building. Twin City Electrical Inc. (Clarkston, Wash.) bid $52,567.50; Mike’s Pole Barn (Clarkston, Wash.) bid $44.974; and Inland Metals Electric (Clarkston, Wash.) bid $60,000. No action was taken, and bids were referred to county engineer Grant Morgan for review.
HEALTH SERVICES: Signed contract with Quality Behavioral Health to continue providing the county with alcohol and substance abuse counseling services.
WOLVES: Signed letter from several eastern Washington counties to the state Speaker of the House expressing support for wolf management policy which gives local jurisdictions greater control.
