Care for veterans facing illness, death subject of session


WALLA WALLA — The Hospice Foundation of America’s annual professional program, Improving Care for Veterans Facing Illness and Death, will begin at 9 a.m. on April 23 at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, 401 W. Poplar St.

The program aims to help end-of-life care provider organizations and health and human service professionals enhance sensitivities and understanding of veterans and provide new means to better serve dying veterans and their families.

Continuing education credits are available. Call 525-5561 to register.

The program is sponsored locally by Walla Walla Community Hospice and Providence St. Mary.
