COLLEGE PLACE — The Village Players will present the third annual “Journey to the Cross” on the Village Church campus, 715 S.E. 12th St.

The hour-long walking tours will begin every 20 minutes starting at 4 p.m. each day on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The final tour each day begins at approximately 6 p.m. It is wheelchair-accessible throughout.

The re-enactment involves 100 volunteers who will re-create nine scenes from the last week of Jesus’ earthly life, beginning with his triumphal entry into Jerusalem on a donkey and culminating with his resurrection from the dead at the tomb.

The script is taken from the four New Testament gospels.

Previous “Journey to the Cross” re-enactments have drawn audiences from Tri-Cities, Yakima and Spokane.

The live re-enacted scenes from the final week of Christ’s life were conceived in 2001 by Village Players director Dan Solis.

Group reservation requests may be made through the Player’s website www.villageplayers.info. Group requests are subject to a minimum of 20 participants. Bus parking is available.

Admission free, but donations will be accepted. Information is available at the Players’ website or at wweaster.com.
