ATHENA — The Weston-McEwen TigerScots baseball team fell to the Pilot Rock Rockets, 9-5, here Tuesday in 2A baseball action.
The TigerScots made three errors in the field and trailed 6-3 going into the seventh inning.
Both teams rallied, the Rockets for three runs and the TigerScots for two runs in the bottom of the inning.
“We haven’t been playing very good baseball,” W-M coach TJ Haguewood said. “We’ve strived to be really good defensively and we’ve had some hiccups at the wrong time. Everyone can do a better job.
“We’ve got to get it figured out if we want to make it far into the playoffs.”
W-M (13-8, 7-3 league) has four league games remaining on the schedule to finish out the regular season.
The TigerScots play at Heppner Saturday for two games starting at 11 a.m. and two games in Dufur the following weekend.
