WALLA WALLA — Charles Smith Wines’ downtown tasting room and performance venue aims to be party central Friday when hundreds of wine tourists visit the Valley for Spring Release weekend.
The winery, at 35 S. Spokane St., is launching its inaugural Rosé Festival featuring an appearance Seattle’s Sinner Saint Burlesque troupe and an after-show dance with music by DJ Amon.
Smith’s new release of K Vintner rosé will be served by the liter.
Founded in 2006, Sinner Saint Burlesque is an internationally performing dance company whose mission is to celebrate the human experience through smart, sexy entertainment, according to a media release.
Founded in 2006, the troupe’s adult-only performances combine glamour, theatricality, wit and humor.

Spring Release weekend is an annual event in the Walla Walla Valley in which the first releases of a new vintage are made available to wine buyers.
Many of the Valley’s winemakers are on hand in their tasting rooms to introduce their new wines.
