COLLEGE PLACE — Tickets are now on sale for the wwudrama production of “Mother Courage and Her Children,” by Bertolt Brecht, translated by Tony Kushner.
The show opens May 18 at 9 p.m. and runs May 19, 23, 25, 26. Saturday shows are at 9 p.m., Thursday and Sunday shows at 8 p.m. on the Village Hall Stage, Walla Walla University campus, 204 S. College Ave.
The play has been moved out of its original 17th century timeline and instead travels through seven major American conflicts that have shaped the United States from the American Revolution to the war in Iraq.
It features 12 original jazz-style compositions by Portland composer Joseph Appel.
The play promises to surprise and entertain, as time after time Mother Courage, played by Jennifer Landaverde, must make the decision to succeed or to sacrifice, according to a release.
Tickets are general admission, $10; seniors and students, $9.
