Jeannie C. Larson
October 10, 1947 – May 5, 2013
Longtime Walla Walla resident, Jeannie Carol Larson,
65, passed away May 5, 2013 at Kadlec Regional Medical
Center, Richland, Washington.
Jeannie was born October 10, 1947, in Medford,
Oregon, to Roland Eugene and Vida Mary Bell Cardwell.
She attended schools in Medford. Growing up next
door to Donald K. Larson, they became friends at the
age of 15 and were married in 1969 in Moscow, Idaho.
They moved to this area in 1973 from Medford. She did
in-home care for the elderly, retiring in 2012, but was
always willing to help anyone, no matter who they were
or what they needed.
Her hobbies included crafts and beading, and
she volunteered twice a week at the Walla Walla
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Donald, at
home; two sons: Don Larson, Jr. and Ron Larson; her
daughter, Lyannae Larson; her mother, Vida Mary; a
sister, Judy Herbert; four grandchildren: Aaron, Jace,
Jeremy and Miriah; four nieces and one nephew. She
was preceded in death by her father and one sister,
Susan Cardwell. Arrangements have been
entrusted to Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles
Military Road, Walla Walla, WA 99362. A celebration of her
life will be at a later date.
