WESTON — A Walla Walla man died in a two-vehicle crash Friday morning on Highway 11 near Weston.
According to Oregon State Police, Vincent A. Torrier, 77, was northbound on the highway driving a 2013 Toyota Corolla at 8:50 a.m. when he made a U-turn in front of a 2004 Ford F350 pickup driven by Debora Alder, 55, of Hermiston.
The pickup struck the driver's side of Torrier’s Corolla, trapping him in the vehicle.
Torrier was airlifted to Providence St. Mary Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The highway was closed for more than four hours due to the rescue and ensuing investigation.
Alder had three passengers in her vehicle, including a 10-year-old child. Their condition was not listed in the report.
