PENDLETON — Oregon author Molly Glass will be the first featured author at the First Draft Writers’ Series kick off at 7 p.m. at Prodigal Son Brewery and Pub, 230 S.E. Court Ave..
Glass is the winner of both the Pacific Northwest Booksellers Award and the Oregon Book Award. “The Dazzle of Day” was named a New York Times Notable Book and was awarded the PEN Center West Fiction Prize.
Following the reading there will be an open mike.
Marty Campbell will also perform a short musical piece during the event.
Campbell is a local musician, cowboy poet and entertainer who performs across the northwest.
First Draft is a program of the Pendleton Center for the Arts, as a forum for great writers to share their work and inspire emerging and beginning wordsmiths.
Other fine literary artists have signed on to read this year in the First Draft series, including internationally acclaimed writers Ursula LeGuinn and Craig Lesley.
