Man arrested for death threats against local officials

WALLA WALLA — A 53-year-old man appeared in court this morning on charges he threatened to kill several local officials.

Francisco C. Delarosa has been calling a Walla Walla Police Officer for more than a year, according to court documents.

“Most of these calls were benign, and have been ignored,” Det. Marlon Calton wrote in a probable cause affidavit for Delarosa’s arrest. “In the last few days Francisco has left messages threatening to kill certain people.”

The list of people Delarosa allegedly threatened included Superior Court Judge John Lohrmann, Prosecuting Attorney Jim Nagle and a different Walla Walla police officer and one of his family members.

Delarosa also left a message accusing Nagle of kidnapping Delarosa’s children and stabbing his wife, according to court documents.

Delarosa was arrested Tuesday and appeared in court this morning before Superior Court Judge Scott Wolfram on investigation of four counts of felony harassment.

He is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
