Watercolor painter's works on display

WALLA WALLA — Art by local painter Deborah Bruce is on exhibit through July at Coffee Connection Cafe, 57 E. Main St.

Bruce has been painting since high school, working at first in oils.

She studied art at Columbia Basin College and Eastern Washington University.

About 20 years ago she enrolled in Joyce Anderson’s watercolor class at Walla Walla Community College and has been hooked on watercolor since.

Bruce has been employed as a produce clerk and florist and finds inspiration for her art in the unending variety and

texture found in fresh flowers and produce.

She is also inspired by the beauty of the Valley and throughout the Pacific Northwest.

Her painting “Market” along with other paintings and works on tiles will be presented at the exhibit.
