BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $4, heading into the Memorial Day weekend.
That’s up 2 cents in a week and 34 cents in a month. It’s 35 cents higher than the national average and 24 cents higher than the price of gasoline in Washington a year ago.
Some metro prices from Friday: Bellingham $4.14, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $4.04, Tacoma $4.01, Olympia $4.04, Vancouver $3.99, Yakima $3.92, Tri-Cities $3.89 and Spokane $3.80.
The average price of a gallon of gas in Oregon is $3.97. That’s the same price as a week ago but 35 cents higher than a month ago. It’s 32 cents higher than the national average but 24 cents lower than the price a year ago in Oregon.
