Dec. 16, 1983 - May 11, 2013
Josh Vetter, 29, of Walla Walla, lost his life Saturday, May 11, 2013.
Josh was loved by so many people. His wide open, crazy, ridiculous, loving, and kind and yet annoying personality grew on everyone he met. He was the jokester, the class clown, the one who was able to make us laugh even during the bleakest of days. The nieces and nephews loved him, knowing he was the one uncle who would “play”! Josh loved playing the guitar and listening to music.
Josh is survived by his daughter, Taylor Rose, and her mother, Ally Henry; parents, Tammy Vetter and Bob Laufer; two brothers, Tim and Gerald Laufer; paternal grandparents, Bob and JoAnn Laufer, Ed, Lori, Krissy, and Eddie all of Walla Walla; maternal grandparents, George and Janet Vetter; uncle, Wes Vetter of Las Vegas; adopted brothers, Paul Lightner, Reece Hepler and Michael Beatty along with numerous cousins and many more adopted brothers and sisters.
He is preceded in death by his biological father; and adopted brother, Kyle Scott Bushman.
His daughter, Taylor Rose, will carry many wonderful memories of her father. He was her hero, her love, her daddy! Anyone who knew Josh knew that she was his pride and joy also. Taylor is the piece of him he was proud to leave behind as his legacy.
A special thanks going out to Whitman College Family and Physical Plant for all of the love and support.
The Celebration of Life will be held for Josh on June 1, 2013, at the Reed Center at Whitman College from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The lunch will be potluck; everyone is welcome to bring a favorite dish or drinks but it is not required. If you plan on attending with a dish or drinks, please contact Lana at 509-301-3756 to be added to the menu. We hope you will join us in celebrating 29 wonderful years with Josh Vetter.
