Community garden has plots available

WALLA WALLA — The Rees & Sumach Community Garden has several plots available for new gardeners.

The garden was established in 2010 and has 30 individual plots, each 10-by-20 feet. It also has a variety of common areas where garden members share part of all they produce with area food banks.

Garden plots are $40 per year, which includes water as well as access to tools and materials. Partial scholarships are available in case of need.

Plot availability is on a first-come, first served basis. If any available plots are not taken by Sunday they will be added to the garden’s common areas.

To apply, please review the garden rules and print out an application form from the garden’s website, Deliver the application to 717 N. Main St. with a check for the annual fee. For more details call 522-0399 or email
