Abundant Life to present 3 special speakers this month

WALLA WALLA — John Jacobs of Lewiston speak at 10 a.m. at Abundant Life, 1625 E. Alder St. His presentation is a part of Harvest Celebration month.

On Nov. 10 Michael Sheftic of Olympia will speak and Abraham Monterosa from Seattle will speak on Nov. 17.

A meal will be provided afterward.

Abundant Life is bilingual. Speakers are translated from English to Spanish. Regular worship services at 11 a.m. each Sunday

Interfaith Coalition on Poverty to recognize homelessness

WALLA WALLA — The Interfaith Coalition on Poverty will recognize National Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week 3-7 p.m. Nov. 18-20 at Land Title Plaza, Main Street and First Avenue.

Music and poetry by local artists.

Onion World sausages, chili and hot drinks offered for a donation.

Emmanuel Lutheran to hold holiday grief seminar Nov. 23

WALLA WALLA — “GriefShare: Surviving the Holidays” a seminar for people facing the holidays after a loved one’s death will be 9:30-11:30 a.m., Nov. 23 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 628 Lincoln St. There is no charge.

Topics include “Why the Holidays are Tough,” “What to Expect,” “How to Prepare,” “How to Manage Relationships and Holiday Socials” and “Using Holidays to Help You Heal.”

Those who attend will receive a free book with more than 30 daily readings.
