WALLA WALLA — The Walla Walla High School JROTC program is hosting the United States Army National Air Rifle Championship local qualifying match from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at the Wa-Hi shooting range.

The Wa-Hi teams will be joined by teams from Oregon City and Spokane to compete for a trip to the national championship hosted at Fort Benning, Ga.

“The visibility of hosting a qualifying match coupled with the successes of our teams over the past two years is a good return on our investment,” said Lt. Col. Bill Bialozor. “Our quality facilities and current, relevant curriculum fosters student success and opens the doors to possible scholarship opportunities.”
