Average price of gasoline falls in Washington and Oregon

BELLEVUE, Wash. (AP) — The AAA auto club reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in Washington is $3.42.

That’s down 4 cents in a week and 24 cents in a month. It’s 17 cents higher than the national average.

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey:

Bellingham $3.89, Bremerton $3.34, Seattle-Bellevue-Everett $3.44, Tacoma $3.32, Olympia $3.35, Vancouver $3.37, Yakima $3.44, Tri-Cities $3.36, and Spokane $3.51.

In Oregon, AAA reports the average price of a gallon of gasoline in $3.39.

That’s down 10 cents in a week and 23 cents in a month but higher than the national average by 14 cents.

Some metro prices from the AAA’s Monday survey: Portland $3.38, Salem $3.37, Eugene-Springfield $3.35, and Medford-Ashland $3.45.
