Dinner to benefit family whose belongings were destroyed in a fire


MILTON-FREEWATER — A benefit dinner for will be held Sunday for Roy and Miranda Cate, the Umapine family who lost nearly everything in an Oct. 30 fire that destroyed their rented residence at 52812 Highway 332.

The couple had no renters insurance.

The spaghetti dinner, live auction and music will be at 5-7 p.m. at the Milton-Freewater Elks, 611 N. Main St.

Cost is $7 adults, $5 teen and children free.
