Additional vote tallies don’t change results

WALLA WALLA — There were no changes in winners of the Nov. 5 election after a second vote count by county officials on Friday.

The closest local race is still for Walla Walla City Council Position 1.

After Friday’s count, leader Mayor Jim Barrow gained one percentage point against opponent Paul Mobley. Barrow had just shy of 54 percent or 2,110 votes and Mobley had just over 46 percent or 1,843 votes. Barrow is expected to win this race.
