The annual Walla Walla Toys for Tots Campaign is in motion.

The toy drive that provides donations for children in need — from newborns to 18-year-olds — launched at the start of the month with drop-off sites opening at more than 20 business locations.

Last year’s collections provided toys for 1,004 local children from Dayton to College Place. As it has in the past, Toys for Tots is working with St. Vincent de Paul, Walla Walla Public Schools, the YWCA, area hospitals and other nonprofit organizations to make sure every child in the Walla Walla Valley receives a gift, according to an announcement.

Families that need to request toys can pick up applications at St. Vincent de Paul, 308 W. Main St., today through Nov. 23; or St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 323 Catherine St., Dec. 2-6. No duplications are allowed.

Those interested in donating are asked to contribute new unwrapped toys or cash. They can be delivered to: Book & Game Co., 38 E. Main St.; Community Bank, 28 E. Alder St. or 1288 S.E. Commercial Drive; Providence St. Mary Medical Center, 401 W. Poplar St.; Walla Walla Sweets Shoppe, 109 E. Main St.; Inland Cellular, 1605 S.E. Meadowbrook Blvd.; Sour Grape Frozen Yogurt, 1619 Isaacs Ave.; NAPA, 1830 Isaacs Ave.; O’Brien Chevrolet, 1395 Dalles Military Road; Falkenbergs Jewelers, 6 E. Main St.; Legacy of Walla Walla, 11 N. Colville St.; John L. Scott Realty, 10 S. Fourth Ave.; The Sweet Putt, 417 Wellington Ave.; Adventist Health Medical Group Pediatrics, 1125 S. Second Ave.; Windermere Real Estate, 202 S. First Ave.; Walgreens, 633 W. Tietan St.; Starbucks, First Avenue and Main Street or Plaza Way; GESA Credit Union, 1355 Poplar St. or 1603 Penny Lane; or Del Taco, 1725 S.E. Meadowbrook Blvd.

Pioneer Middle School and Assumption K-8 School are also collecting donations. Book & Game Co. offers a 20 percent discount on anything in the store purchased for Toys for Tots.
