WALLA WALLA — Police arrested two people suspected of selling drugs after a SWAT team raided their Roosevelt Street residence early this morning.
Christina L. Boucher, 51 and Richard C. Chapeck, 55, were both arrested at 212 N. Roosevelt St., Apartment 17, on investigation of drug related charges.
Walla Walla police spokesman Tim Bennett said SWAT team members forced their way into the residence before 7 a.m., setting off flash-bang devices. A warrant to search the apartment was granted following several weeks of investigation by detectives that included controlled purchases of drugs, Bennett said in a news release.
Chapek was booked into the Walla Walla County Jail on investigation of two counts of delivery of methamphetamine, delivery of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school bus stop, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Boucher is being held on investigation of possession of methamphetamine.
Detectives seized scales, plastic bags containing drug residue, and other paraphernalia during the warrant search, according to Bennett.
Bennett said in a news release that both Boucher and Chapek have a history of narcotics related arrests.
Bennett also said Chapek also is being held on attempted first-degree theft, second-degree malicious mischief and first-degree attempting to traffic in stolen property in an unrelated case.
