Santa rolling into town for parade, toy store appearances

Santa Claus is coming to town.

The man in red will ride in on the final float in the Macy’s Parade of Lights on Dec. 7. He’ll follow that up that night with an appearance at downtown Walla Walla toy store Inland Octopus, 7 E. Main St. After that he’ll return to the store the following two Sundays and then again the Thursday before Christmas.

Santa’s trip into Walla Walla comes courtesy of the Walla Walla Community College chapter of Phi Beta Lambda, an association of students preparing for careers in business. The members are creating the Santa float for the parade.

The appearances at Inland Octopus mark the 10th year for Kris Kringle and the toy store, owner Bob Catsiff said.

The Sunday appearances Dec. 8 and 15 will run 11 a.m.-4 p.m. The Dec. 19 appearance will take place 5-8 p.m. For more details, call Catsiff at 526-0115 or drop a line at
