Fire crews were called Friday evening for backup in two utility pole fires that were most likely caused by a combination of cracked insulators and frozen water that shorted and ignited the tops of the poles. The two fires occurred at the 400 block of Chase Avenue and near the 1000 block of South Wilbur Avenue.
A burglary was reported at Walla Walla Smoke Shop, 1434 Isaacs Ave. Miscellaneous pipes were taken Friday around 11:30 p.m.
A resident of the 100 block of South Columbia Street reported the window of his Chevy Geo Tracker was shot at Thursday night.
