Abundant Life to present Harvest Celebration message

WALLA WALLA — Abraham Monterosa of Seattle will present a Harvest Celebration message at 11 a.m. today at Abundant Life, 1625 E. Alder St.

Monterosa will present in Spanish and translate the message into English.

The rest of the service will be translated from English into Spanish

There will be a free meal. Transportation can be arranged.

Pataha Flour Mill to host harpist, soprano before, after buffet

POMEROY — Pataha Flour Mill, 50 Hutchens Hill Road, will host harpist Bronn Journey and his wife, Kathryn, at 3 p.m. Saturday.

There will be a Thanksgiving buffet after the performance. After dinner, soprano Nancy Grunewald and accompanist Caroline Germaine of Pullman will perform. Seating is limited. A $10 donation is suggested. Call 509-843-3799 for reservations.

St. James Episcopal plans contra music concert

MILTON-FREEWATER — St. James Episcopal Church, 719 Pierce St., will offer a concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday.

The Wednesday Night Band of Walla Walla will perform a variety of contra dance music, including jigs, reels, waltzes and old-time fiddle tunes.

Band leader Trudy Ostby promises an exciting evening featuring lively melodies and Celtic airs. Band co-founder Jon St. Hillaire will be featured on guitar, banjo and ukelele.

Clark Colahan will play the Irish flute and penny whistle. Pianist Terry Trick and fiddler

Malinda Pankl will complete the sounds of the band.

The concert is a fundraiser for the Milton-Freewater Breabasket. Donations accepted.

Coffee, tea and cookies will be served in the parish Hall after the performance.
