DAYTON — The Dayton volleyball team cruised to a win in straight sets against DeSales, 25-21, 25-20, 25-12, here Tuesday.
Dayton head coach Shannon Turner said her team won with a balanced attack and fundamentally sound playing.
“We played well, we played together and everyone contributed,” Turner said. “We kept the momentum on our side by cutting our unforced errors in half from our previous matches.”
Madison Mings racked up 13 kills, six blocks and 12 digs for the Bulldogs. Her sister, Courtney Mings, added 13 digs and 10 points from the service line.
Turner said the duo plays with a lot of synergy, although the entire roster is playing well.
“They’re just playing well,” Turner said. “They’re playing with a lot of intensity and they play well together. Everyone on the team is contributing. They’re standing out stat-wise, but everyone is contributing.”
Chelsea Wooldrige dished out 22 assists and added 11 digs. Jocelyn Fullerton scored 13 points and finished with five kills.
Dayton hosts Walla Walla Valley Academy Thursday.
