Walla Walla Univeristy alumna to perform piano recital Oct. 12 (with audio)


COLLEGE PLACE — Karlyn Bond will give a piano recital at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 12 in the Melvin K. West Fine Arts Center Auditorium on the Walla Walla University campus, 204 S. College Ave.

Bond will play works by Beethoven, Haydn, Debussy, Chopin, and Rachmaninoff.

She is a 1989 graduate of Walla Walla College, now WWU, and completed a master’s and doctorate in music at the University of Southern California.

She is now a professor of music at Westminster College in Salt Lake City.

She has recorded a CD “Piano Classics from the World of Jane Austen” and performs widely as a soloist and collaborative artist.
