The Downtown Farmers Market won’t just be a place to pick up farm-fresh produce this weekend. You’ll also see some farm animals, too.
Saturday’s market will highlight the value of the 4-H program, said market Manager Cheryl Thyken. Activities, animals and information about the program will be featured during the event at Fourth Avenue and Main Street behind City Hall.
That event leads into next Saturday’s “BIG truck” market. The Walla Walla Fire Department will have some of its rigs at the market, along with members of its response teams.
The market runs through the end of October. Saturday and Sunday markets are 9 a.m.-1 p.m.
