LA GRANDE — The La Grande volleyball team stifled McLoughlin High School in straight sets here Thursday.
The Tigers won 25-8, 25-8, 25-11.
Pioneers head coach Kaila Rodighiero said her team suffered from injuries, which forced some players to play out of position.
“We had low intensity this game and it had an impact on the score,” Rodighiero said. “We will have a better game against Ontario. We are preparing for a great game.”
Amber Wells finished the match 6-of-7 from the service line.
Amanda Rhoads led the Pioneers with two kills and Kassidy Harris racked up a team-high five digs.
The Pioneers face Ontario Saturday.
