WALLA WALLA — One of five suspects wanted in connection with an assault on two men in May has been arrested.

Emil E. Zamora, 22, of 1107 W. Chestnut St., Apt. B, was taken into custody Wednesday by Walla Walla Police. He has been charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and riot.

He was released this morning on house arrest after a court appearance Thursday.

Officials believe Zamora and four others were involved in attacks on Cody J. Watson and Ryan C. Larson in the 300 block of North Blue Street about 2 a.m. May 10. The assailants were claiming affiliations with a local gang, according to a police report.

The four other suspects in the attack remain at large. Police have identified them as Juan M. Alejandre, 26, of 1108 W. Pine St.; Mario R. DeLeon, 30, of 440 Sprague Ave.; Thomas C. DeLeon, 24, of Pasco; and Ray R. Gutierrez, 24, of 319 N. Seventh Ave.

The four have also been charged with first-degree robbery, second-degree assault and riot and warrants for their arrest issued.
