Riverside scored first in the 28th minute. That goal stood as Riverside took its 1-0 lead to intermission.

Riverside scored the game winner seven minutes later for a 2-1 lead. Riverside iced this one with a goal in the 70th minute.

Christian Caro, in goal for W-P, had 22 saves as the W-P defense redeemed itself from an earlier 8-2 loss to Riverside.

“Riverside is a really good team,” W-P assistant coach Jay Potts said. “We showed definite improvement (from W-P’s first match with Riverside). We played well. It was a good soccer game. To come back from that 8-2 defeat, we’re pretty satisfied.”
