Walla Walla Valley Chamber sets quarterly luncheon

The “triple bottom line” will be the focus of a Quarterly Luncheon for the Walla Walla Valley Chamber of Commerce.

The art of being a good corporate citizen will be addressed by at least three local business operators who work to grow their companies while also focusing on good works at the same time.

“Understanding the Triple Bottom Line: Doing Good is Good for Business” will run Oct. 16, 11:30 a.m.- 1 p.m. at the Reid Campus Center Ballroom on the Whitman College campus.

Doug Simcock, broker for Windermere of Walla Walla, Rick Small, winemaker and co-owner of Woodward Canyon, and Kathy Myers of Hayden Homes will be among the speakers at the event.

The purpose is to highlight stories from business leaders who have built sustainable business models around doing good — for the environment, employes and communities.

The event is sponsored by Inland Cellular. Tickets are $25 for Chamber members, or $30 for nonmembers. They must be reserved no later than Monday. For more information contact the Chamber at 525-0850, or drop by 29 E. Sumach St.
