Garfield-Palouse handles Touchet


TOUCHET — The Touchet High School volleyball team lost to Southeast 1B Conference foe Garfield-Palouse in straight sets, 25-21, 25-21, 25-22, here Tuesday.

Indians head coach April Miller said her team featured a balanced attack to spread out the scoring, but the Wildcats took advantage of Touchet’s (1-2 in the Southeast 1B conference) mistakes.

“We played hard tonight,” Miller said. “There were just little things that went wrong, and they added up.”

Cierra McKeown led the Indians with seven assists, five kills and three blocks. Rachel Miller added five kills and Chelsea Dowty also chipped in three blocks.

The Indians host Pomeroy Thursday.
