POMEROY — The Pomeroy volleyball team had no problem with St. John-Endicott, as the Pirates cruised to a straight-set win, 25-14, 25-10, 25-15, here Tuesday.
Pomeroy head coach Bruce Crossfield said his team played its best match of the year and numerous players got into the action.
Mackenzie Monahan and Savannah Ruark led the way for Pomeroy (13-5, 2-0) with eight kills apiece. Ruark also added five blocks.
Ireland Mayfield dished out 27 assists and also had seven aces. Kacey Halbert led the Pirates with 13 digs.
Pomeroy faces Touchet Thursday.
