Walla Walla

The body of Cody Locke, 29, of Uintah, Utah, was discovered Thursday 3 p.m. in a fifth-wheel trailer in the back parking lot Comfort Inn and Suites Walla Walla, 1419 W. Pine Street. No foul play was found. An autopsy will take place Monday.

Walla Walla County

A perimeter search for a suspect wanted on a misdemeanor warrant who fled on foot took place in the vicinity of Mocking Bird Lane and Scenic Loop Drive around 1 p.m. Thursday. The pursuit started when a deputy spotted the suspect, Chance Raymond Jaramillo. Jaramillo was riding in a vehicle and then fled on foot. College Place and Walla Walla police were called in to help surround the area. A number of local businesses reported seeing Jaramillo as he crossed private yards. Jaramillo was apprehended near Big 5 Sporting Goods and booked into Walla Walla County Jail.

Milton-Freewater

A wallet was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Main Street Thursday.

Umatilla County

A 1986 Chevy S10 was reported stolen Thursday morning from the 53000 block of County Road. The pickup was later found abandoned at the entrance of an orchard near Winesap and County roads.

Officials with Pleasant View School, 52274 Pleasant View Road, called deputies to deal with a student who was refusing to leave the grounds Thursday 10:37 a.m.

A resident of the 53200 block of Appleton Road reported a burglary that occurred Thursday afternoon. The resident learned of the burglary when her bank advised her that her debit card was used illegally at the Milton-Freewater McDonalds.

A laptop and rifle were reported missing from a residence at the 85600 block of Winesap Road. Both items were taken either Tuesday or Wednesday.
