Tri-Cities Prep takes win from Waitsburg-Prescott

WAITSBURG — The Waitsburg-Prescott volleyball team had its hand full with Southeast 2B League foe Tri-Cities Prep here Thursday.

The Jaguars won in straight sets, 25-12, 25-17, 25-23.

W-P head coach Angie Potts said her team got off to a slow start and could not hang with the Tri-Cities Prep hitters.

“Tri-Cities Prep was hitting corners and we were a step slow getting to where we needed to be,” Potts said. “In the second and third sets, we made adjustments to our defensive positions and our front row started getting some blocks.”

Samantha Fedderson led W-P with nine kills, 12 digs, six blocks and three aces.

Paige Wood added six kills and four blocks and Enedina Fuentes finished with three kills and nine digs.

Jaidyn Brown dished out 12 assists and Analise Salazar collected 10 digs for Waitsburg-Prescott.

W-P (4-14 overall, 0-7 in SE2B play) squares off with Dayton Tuesday.
