ATHENA — Weston-McEwen continued its onslaught on Blue Mountain Conference foes with a 25-7, 25-11, 25-4 victory over visiting Elgin here Thursday night.
“We played really well last night,” TigerScots coach Shawn White said.
Taryn Coffman handed out 28 assists and had four blocks in the victory, with Taylor Rudolph picking up four assists and was 7-of-7 serving with two aces.
Molly vonBorstel recorded 21 kills and was 14-of-14 serving with seven aces, Lacey Kuehn had three kills in limited time, Keegan Shepard had four kills and two blocks, Betsy West recorded six kills, Melanie Sederburg had two kills, Danni Dearing had eight digs and was 27-of-27 serving with six aces, Madison Carlin came up with nine digs, Melina Baker was 5-for-5 serving with two aces, and Natalie Arnold had seven digs and was 19-of-20 serving with two aces.
The match came on Pink Night, to raise breast cancer awareness, as well as Senior Night.
“It was probably the best we’ve played on Senior Night that I can remember,” White said. “We’ve been dealing with injuries, and last night we played very well. We had a high level of execution.”
The TigerScots, now 14-0 in BMC play and 24-1 overall, host Stanfield and Union for BMC matches beginning at noon Saturday.
