WESTON — Umatilla County officials will hold a town meeting Thursday in Weston to discuss the county’s proposed public safety levies.
The meeting will start at 7 p.m. in the Weston Middle School auditorium. Sheriff’s staff and other county officials will attend.
The two proposed levies would be assessed at the rate of 40 cents and 94 cents per $1,000 of property value, respectively. The first would fund the county jail, dispatch and other services, while the second would fund additional deputies.
