Product name: Several kinds of Reser’s Fine Foods refrigerated, ready-to-eat products.

Reason for recall: Food may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause miscarriages and serious and sometime fatal infections in young children, medically fragile or elderly people. Text here.

Affected lots: The recalled, ready-to-eat products are refrigerated salads such as potato, macaroni, seafood, bean and coleslaw. They were distributed nationwide and Canada in retail and food service establishments. A complete listing of affected products can be found at www.fda.gov/Safety/Recalls.

Illnesses, injuries or deaths related to problem: None reported to date.
